The Great Armando has been performing magic for children and families for more than twenty years. After growing up in Italy and performing across Europe, he brought his mix of storytelling, comedy and sleight of hand to Australia, where he now calls Melbourne home.

Along the way he has appeared on national television in both Italy and Australia, including morning TV on the Today Show, and has been featured in publications such as Vogue Uomo, Il Globo and The Mercury. From small living rooms to big theatres, his shows have reached thousands of children and their families.

On stage, The Great Armando is warm, playful and deeply interactive. The magic is built around the idea that the real wonder happens when everyone in the room feels seen and included, with plenty of chances for children to help, decide and surprise the adults.

Every show is written so that children are at the centre, while adults feel genuinely welcome to laugh, join in and share the experience. The aim is always the same: a room full of people who feel connected, present and part of the magic.

Clear boundaries and child safe practice sit quietly underneath everything. Shy children, loud children, neurodivergent children and everyone in between are invited to take part in ways that feel comfortable, without pressure or embarrassment. Armando’s stories, accent and sense of humour bring a little slice of Italy to every performance. This works beautifully with language and multicultural programs in schools and daycares, and adds a different voice and point of view to family events and festivals.
